• All prompts and drabbles must be about a sexual or romantic relationship between two or more women. Any f/f(/f+) pairing from any fandom is welcome.

Having been born and raised in the depths of Drearburh, Gideon thought she was accustomed to finding her way through labrynthine passageways. On this particular venture with Harrow into the winding thoroughfares of Canaan House, however, she found herself without the foggiest sense of direction.

"At least we're lost together," she said.

"I know precisely where I'm going," Harrow snapped. "You're the one who is lost. I could walk away from you right now and then I'd be neither together nor lost, and probably much happier for it."

"Hmm," said Gideon. "Except you haven't."

"Not yet."

"What, would you miss me?"

Harrow deigned only to sniff.

Lady Pole was all in lace tonight, an extravagant white efflorescence over which her pale, drawn face seemed to hover like one of the Gentleman's magically preserved -- no!

Arabella squeezed her own tired eyes shut. The magpie-feathered dancer leading her laughed a mocking chatter at her expression and gave her a sudden twirl, hard and vertiginous -- her hand slipped from the fairy's, or perhaps the fairy released her, and Arabella found herself stumbling unguided through the press of fey flesh, wild magic clamoring at her senses.

A hand stilled her -- brittle-boned, clammy-skinned, yet so humanly warm that Arabella clutched at it like a drowning woman as she steadied herself. She raised her eyes to meet Lady Pole's. Lace rustled over Arabella's fingers, her wrist, as the lady drew her closer.

"They won't catch you if you fall, you know," said Lady Pole brusquely. "They find it amusing."

"I know," Arabella sighed. "I know. Thank you, Lady Pole."

"You must keep your hold more firmly," the lady insisted. "Like so." She curled her fingers through Arabella's and spread the other hand, with its missing finger, against her back. Lace kissed Arabella's throat before giving way to her solidity.

Arabella held on.
